I came down to the FL Keys Thursday night after work for the labor day weekend.  I am either incredibly stupid or I have found the safest spot in FL.  Surprised that even Thursday there were lines at ALL the gas stations I passed, and many were out of gas.  Lucky for me I have a diesel and that is almost always available.  Thinking I may head back up to the mainland before this hits.   Not much panic here in the Keys as the stores have plenty of beer.

 

Irma hit me with the eye wall in both locations, here on Big Pine and in Naples.  I should be safe from Dorian.

I just saw the news as well. So it looks like I might have to go to Walmart later to pick up stuff if I need it before it goes all loco. The thing that is worrying is that it looks like the exact route of Hugo 30 years ago with exact same intensity

Dorian is a himmicane.

 

I personally wouldn't care to repeat Ike or Harvey.

Hugo was a terrible storm.. and I remember FEMA got a lot of flack because things were very different back then and they mostly didn't do much. It's crazy how uncertain they are about the track.. but it looks like the Bahamas will be slammed. :(
