My husband received my I-130 approval notice and it states that I am currently living in the USA and I wish to adjust my status but I’m not I’m in my home country awaiting consular processing.

Must have been something in the application that made them think you were in the US. Did you give a US mailing address perhaps for you? Regardless they forwarded to NVC which is the correct next step for you

I wouldn't worry. Within the next 6 weeks you should hopefully receive your case number. Then you can begin the processing at NVC. Have you started compiling all your civil and financial documents?

Yeah now is a good time. Depending on your country Police certificates can sometimes take a while so the sooner the better. Good Luck and keep us posted on your progress!
