I don't think your package will go missing.     For now just be patient.

Did he make sure to having tracking from USPS?    This would allow him to check status of the package

That's the thing though. He lost the receipt with tracking number on it. 👹

So we will just wait until he received an email from USCIS (fingers crossed).

Usually, once they sent an email to him, will the interview be very soon? he is currently deployed and might not be able to access his email 24/7.

You both need to do a lot of reading about the process

YMMV

The I-129F petition process can take months once received by USCIS.  How many months varies with the service center.   You can check the USCIS website for stats on processing timelines.

After the petition is approved ( I-797 Notice of Action/NOA2)  your case file will be forwarded to NVC and be assigned the embassy file # which can take 6-8 weeks before it is finally forwarded to the embassy.  There is a fair amount of time before the interview process starts.

As of now, he still haven't receive the NOA1 through email. Almost 3 weeks.... The checks havent been cashed out yet either. Should we wait for a month before we contact USCIS about it?

Hasn't been 3 weeks yet?  If you don't see the "check cashed", (USCIS doesn't deposit the check they only withdraw the funds), soon I would make a call .. or worse case prepare to submit a completely new petition package.

Losing the tracking number doesn't help for sure

why don't you go to USPS and ask for tracking #. they can look it up by his address and name from who sent.

I am currently staying in Indonesia.. He is currently deployed.

So he will probably have to email them. Not sure if he's able to call to the United States. His phone service can't call internationally and so is mine. :(

I did the same exact thing (I misread "UPS" as "USPS").

It did not matter. USCIS still got my application, and my fiancee got her visa.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

You've got many months of waiting and intermediate paperwork in between the email from USCIS and the interview.

Read the K1 guide on this website.

That's tough but do not give up. I am sure he has friends or family members who can stop by and find out for him. Especially if he is deployed I am sure they will help out.

His mom went to the post office to check and they said they won't be able to help without tracking number :(

Coworker don't see any mail for him at work either, Unless they have forward it to him to where he is now.
