CEAC Status Ready Interview

Hello, the status is ready on the CEAC website. It says to follow the appointment schedule provided by the NVC and if we do not have a schedule from the NVC, please wait for scheduling instructions or a notification from the U.S. Embassy Manila. Can someone explain to me exactly what this means? My fiance thinks it means we need to wait for something from the embassy. I read on here to not wait for anything and just fill out the ds-160, pay the fee, and schedule it when the tracker says ready. Did they already make an appointment for us? If they did, how long does it take to receive it? And if they did, if we schedule an appointment, does this conflict with the one they may have already scheduled or just replace it? Thank you.

NVC does not schedule your interview, you are K-1, you schedule your own interview.   You are correct, you only need to watch for your status on CEAC to show READY ... after that it is ROCK n ROLL time!

Here is a link to the guide for the visa process in the Philippines,  the K-1 process is about 1/2 way down the page.
