I'm trying to figure out why my status keeps updating to N/A and then it switches back to what it was originally.  It's been updating several times this morning. Is anyone else having the same problem with their status on the app? I'm just curious

Sounds like a glitch with the app itself.  Case trackers are known to do that from time-to-time.

Each time your case is "touched" an update is generated. Since Cellphone Apps are not always reliable it's not a good idea to put any "weight" on their outcomes. I'd recommend that you go to USCIS and registered and follow along there for most current information and links to other information you may find necessary.

Thanks for your response and I do have an online account with USCIS but it's not updated. The online account is 4 months behind and the app is usually the most updated status and I confirmed that with USCIS yesterday.
