Ds160 - USA Trip history

How many years are required of trip history on the DS160 using the US IMMIGRATION website and i194 trip tracker I’ve managed to get back to 2014. It displays 5 years generally. Anyone help on this? Yes I’ve been coming to the states for years !

I included just the latest 5 trips -which happened within a year-. It was fine,  as they have everything else in their data base.

You do have to go as far back as possible now. Previously the form only asked for the last 5 trips, now it specifically asks for all trips to be listed.

 

Try to add as many as you can remember, you use approximate date if you don't have specifics

I had the same issue - I was early 40s when going through the process, and I'd had numerous trips on vacation to the USA since I was 5 years old, plus I'd had a j1 and lived in the USA for a year some 20 years before the k1 process, plus I had trips where I'd transited via the US to Cayman Islands, etc. I have family in Canada so also had quite a few land crossings to US from when we were visiting Canada.

 

I just did the best I could. I went through my old passports looking for stamps. My mum had her old passports so we were able to get dates of trips from time before I had my own passport. I can't guarantee I got every trip, but I'm pretty sure USCIS would realise that someone with so many trips over such a long period is unlikely to be able to itemize them all with 100% accuracy. Imagine if you worked for an airline or company that required frequent travel to the USA, or lived in Canada close to US border and frequently crossed it! I'm pretty sure if you explain the situation and give it your best effort you'll be fine.
