Roughly 2+ years ago my husband field for me but unfortunately we were denied. The interview went well to us, the officer said everything is fine he wants more evidence and then we’ll be approved however that was obviously not so. Our marriage was very young at the time, we were unable to provide certain evidences such as joint account and lease but we provided tons of pics and affidavits, insurance policy etc. now almost 3 years later I’m ready to reapply. I should mention my husband is a us army soldier so majority of his time is spent over seas. We’ve hired a good lawyer this time so hopefully she can help us. It’s really hard. Secondly -- what happened after you were denied? Did you live abroad or in the US? What's your immigration status?

11/03/2015 - Approved, card production ordered (164 days!)

11/10/2015 - 10-yr Green Card received (IR6) -- journey over for now!

 

 

Citizenship Journey (N-400)

07/15/2019 - Ceremony scheduled for 07/31/2019
07/31/2019 - Journey is finally over. Citizen of the USA.

OP,  how did you enter the USA and where were you in the meantime, since the denial?  Ie did you stay legally in the USA with another type of visa such as work or student visa, or have you been overstaying?

Me: Irish/ Swiss citizen, and now naturalised US citizen. Husband: USC; twin babies born Feb 08 in Ireland and a daughter in Feb 2010 in Arkansas who are all joint Irish/ USC. Did DCF (IR1) in 6 weeks via the Dublin, Ireland embassy and now living in Arkansas.
