Marriage license while on ESTA

I have been in the U.S. with my fiancé for a week now, and we`re planning on getting married soon. What are the steps to do so, what documents do I need etc. I came here from Slovenia, and we`re living together in the state of Georgia. Neither of us have been married before. He has a job here and I`m unemployed (not sure if that matters or not). I`m 21 and he`s 40, so I`m wondering if there`s gonna be an issue there? Thank you in advance for any tips, and all the help.

Wow! A week that was FAST to change plans from visiting to getting married and living together.

No issue that you are not employed or the age difference. It will not matter.

Just go to the office and bring your ID's to get the marriage license.

Did you know that you would get married and stay in the US when you entered with your Esta or is this a spur of the moment kind of decision? Seeing you have only been in the US a week?

Also, are you planning on staying in the US after you get married or go back so your then husband can file a spouse visa petition for you?

Agreed that you being unemployed and the age difference does not really matter for Immigrstion.

So she wrote they were living together in GA. Not normal to live together when you are visiting and only have been there a week.

I assumed that at the 1-week mark they were “staying” together lol

Either way the question was asked and answered

Have you found a place you want to get married?

No, not yet. We don`t want a religious wedding though, and we want it to be small

Can it be just the two of us or do we need any witnesses? Is Atlanta the only city we can get this done at or are there any other cities we can go to? I`m sorry if I`m being nosy or anything, we just want everything to go smootly

We found out there are only a couple of counties in Georgia where you can go to the courthouse and get married. One is in Stephens County. However, you need an appointment and they are only open M-F.  What’s a Kronos?
