Hank, she did not get the CFO cert. She has to have a final Consult. I assume we have to schedule the consult. All the other steps seem pretty simple.

Thank you!

Yes your fiancee needs to get the consult handled.  Did CFO mention any "additional documents" ?

I see, totally! $1700 one way from Manila...

Look at round trip tickets also (they can be cheaper at times) .. you can cancel the return flight part of the ticket after your fiancee is in the USA  ;)

I posted a few months ago that they had issue with my 3 previous marriages and she was very nervous at the 1st meeting. So they didn't give her the cert and told her to come back once she gets the visa for final Consult. They didn't ask for anything else.

I've tried that. My ticket from Tampa to Manila, round trip was $1700 and her one way ticket was $1800-2200

Ah ... yes for sure CFO is going to focus on all your past marriages.  She brought copies of your three divorce decrees to CFO?  They, very likely, are going to grill her about your marriages ... she best be prepared; she will need to know the why for the divorces (but then that should have been something you both discussed already in reality).

How old is your fiancee .. that can have a bearing also?

Do you make sure to clear your browser of cookies between searches.  Maybe even use different browsers.   Search history can have an effect on results.

Have your fiancee check, the search coming from a Philippine IP address could change the results also.

Yes, she had copies. They grilled her the first time. We discussed the details prior to her CFO appointment. But now she has it all more committed to memory than I do. I'm trying to forget it all. Lol!

She is 35.

Age shouldn't be an issue at all.

I am not surprised, even with your fiancee being 35, at CFO focusing on your past marriages.    She just needs to convince to CFO that she knows you and your past and all is good.    CFO tries way to hard to be an OVERBEARING mother .. highly annoying at times.

Yes, she has it handled now. They won't be able to intimidate her since she can cover any questions they ask.

Wish us luck!

My wife was in her 30s, CFO wasn't able to give her too much sh!t .. she is not the timid type for sure.

I am from Naples. My fiancé ticket from Manila to Fort Lauderdale was a little less than $1,000 and that was a one way ticket, just a few weeks ago on Delta. Flying her into Fort Lauderdale was $200 cheaper than flying her to SWFL. So maybe check different airports.

Sounds like a good idea. I tried Sarasota, Orlando, St Petersburg and Tampa, but the prices were relatively the same. I never thought about going that far south.

Try Korean Airlines. Can connect through Dallas. Immigration in Dallas is very light.  I think is cheaper to go to the Philippines from the USA. I'm going to Cebu in a couple of weeks and the fare was less than $900, with minimal layover time. Also, doing the same over Thanksgiving. Same price.
