I arrived t USA on december 22, 2017, on k1 visa.

got married on march 16, 2018 and sent aos application on abril 2018.

Biometric on may 2018 and interiew on july 30, 2018, everything was good on my interview but the officer said he needs review some papers, he had the originals papers on my file and also i gave him again all originals papers on my interview. he dais he will reviews to see if there were the right papers from my country.

i got my EAD and AP on september 2018.

for my surprice on october 2018, i got a RFE asking for the same papers that i sent with my application and which i submitted again on my interview on july 30n 2018. look like the officer never reviw my papers, becuase there were on the application and i gave him again on my interview day.

i sent again all the papers at the end of october 2018, after that no answer.

all the time i called uscis on the phone they said a diferents things all the time, even said that soon i will get a interview, whne i said but i already had an interview then they didnt know what to say.

on april 2019, i sent a letter to the director of my office Indianapolis no answer , so i sent another letter on june 1st, 2019 and maybe this time they did something, becuse my case was transfered to Ohio office and i got a RFE on june 27, 2019 asking for my medical exam, i did my medical exam and sent the envelope on july 17, 2019 to Ohio office.

thye got it on monday 22, 2019 and on wednesday 24 they changed my status to : new card is being produced.

so i hope get my green card next week after one year of my AOS interview.

all this time my status never changed on uscis wedsite until wednesday that changed to new card is being produced.

Do you think the letter to the Director helped?  I'm also considering this -  I've been waiting almost a year since interview with no updates at all from Baltimore either 😕

I cant say that the letter to the director of my office helped because never i got an answer from him, but i sent tow letters one in april and another on june first, and on june 27 i got a RFE from Ohio, look like they transfered my case.

I told my self if i dont get an answer soon, at the beging of each month i will send a letter maybe tgey get tired of me sending letter and do something.

Just send a letter to your director office be polite and tell him or her that you have your life suspended because you cant do your life normal because your status, explain that your interview was one year ago and you want to know your case status.

Send a polite letter no hurt

I had a similar issue to yours. I was approved 1 year and a few weeks after my interview.

In my case I believed they looked at my file because we moved and submitted multiple service requests online and on the phone.

I would say contact your Congressman and Senator, the Ombudsman and file service requests.

After that well just wait and pray. 🤷🏾‍♀️

You really never know how to work with USCIS so try everything and hope for the best.

Good luck
