Facts: arrived as a tourist 20 years ago (meaning legal entry)

Apply for asylum after 365 days and a Withholding of removal was granted instead.

After all those years a citizen brother (sibling) filed a I130 and still on process on regular time.

Question is: after the I130 is approved if so, and I'm into American soil with social, alien number, work permit... I need to wait for a visa to come to this country to adjust the status from the withholding to the residency? Or there is a kind of short cut because I'm already into the system?

When did your brother apply? Most sibling visas have around a 15-year wait before priority dates are current, some longer.

Ey Susie

Exactly because of that waiting time is my question, he apply like five months ago and is taking between nine and eleven month for the approval of the petition but... The priority dates are the longer.

That priority time as I know is to have a visa available to bring that sibling to the states, in my particular case I'm already here, that's why I'm asking if it's any short cut for my case.

No, no short cut. A visa number is still needed for an AOS case, and is only available for you when the priority date is current.

And your case is too complicated for me to understand, so I don’t want to really comment on that because it’s not clear to me what your status history is, but usually for an F4 case you need to have properly maintained status since entry to be able to adjust status.

You can use the term visa number or green card allotment interchangeably.   Either way you need to wait until a green card is allotted to your situation,  no way to jump the line

YMMV
