Oh my god.. I can’t imagine how frustrated you must feel! I’m going to the embassy tomorrow, see if there’s anything they can do. Worth a shot.

Yeah it is. And we have a child. Really sucks to be apart when we're trying to make this work the RIGHT way.

Eh, I don't think they'll even let you in without an appt letter. They're really strict about how people are allowed in (usually only with a letter of reason to be there).

I didn’t think of that.. guess I’ll keep hitting that refresh button.

the married category operates totally differently. We get notified via email when they've booked our appt. But until then...we're at their mercy. This September will be 2 YEARS since we started the process. I'm so over it.

@Amelie Fchr - my fiance called the consulate and they were very nice.  They verified all of his information was updated properly in the system to ensure he was able to book an appointment.  Then unfortunately the person told him that he had to just wait until an appointment became available and that's all he could do.  So it might not hurt to check in on that just to give you a piece of mind that everything else is set.

and wow! @KrisUSBound two years? That is tough.  We got engaged May 2018, started paperwork June 2018, and submitted paperwork November 2018 (a lot of family and lawyer delays) so I have started wondering if we should have just submitted the spousal visa but it's so unfortunate you've been two years already!! One positive for me is I have learned one of the biggest lessons in patience I never knew was possible.  I am glad I found this community recently though.  I just became active this week but it has helped so much with waiting to get an appointment.

Good luck everyone!!!!!

I feel like the last time they were super backed up (earlier this year) and one of the months went immediately, like it seems September did, they opened the following month's dates much sooner than end of the month like they normally do. So hopefully October dates aren't too far away. Good luck everyone!!

They always are backed up about this time of year and then again close to November.

Any idea when it opens up again?

You guys just have to keep checking.  What previous K1 have done is start a thread and notified each other when there are openings.
