For all filers who can’t find their case on USCIS.gov

If you used USCIS.gov’s “track my case status” to look up your case number and could not find it, try to access my.uscis.gov and create an account, then add your receipt number under “paper filed case”. I found my case update this way showing it was received, even though it was still returning an error on the USCIS.gov track status page. I am guessing there is a lag in information updates between the two databases.

This is a hit or miss btw.

Either website could work or not work, just depends on luck. I'd take anything the website tells you with a grain of a salt.

The old website is: https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/landing.do

The new website is: https://myaccount.uscis.gov/

For us, the new website only ever updated as "Case recieved June 07, 2018".
The old website went from "case not found" to "New Card In Production".

The old website worked for us in the end once the GC was in production, the new website STILL shows that the case was received, a couple of months after being approved for the 10 year GC.
