I don’t know much about the F2A but check this link out it might be useful. https://www.***removed***/greencard/***removed***/petition-upgrade.html  they also have forums for the visa process.

This website has some good more direct information on what you are seeking (I think) https://www.nolo.com/legal-encyclopedia/free-books/fiance-marriage-visa-book/chapter12-30.html

I hope some of this is helpful or of use to you.

Maybe be someone else who has first hand experience or knows exactly what to do can also answer.

Maybe try posting in one of these

Good luck!

I appreciate you trying to help me with my question. My question maybe confusing.

We have seen cases where applicants were denied based off the " 3 months rule of in-state residency" I hope your case doesn't fall in that category because they usually will not tell you when you put that request for transfer in

Thanks for the heads up @Steve1979 This should be something that a lot of filers should consider before moving.

I hope that my case will be treated differently since I did a research on that 3-months state residency rule, being a military spouse and moving based off my spouse’s orders.

On the chart that I based it off of, it was not required to have a 3 month residency for military and their dependents. I included a copy of the official orders when I originally filed online as well (I knew that we were moving before filing the original N-400) but here is to hoping that all of those evidence will not be looked over. Else, I will just need to have my interview on the 3rd month of my stay in the state.

If anyone is serving in the military, the 3 month residency with your new state is also waived as a rule. Physical presence in the US can also be waived as long as you’re out of the country supported by your orders or your spouse’s orders to Permanently Change Stations, if you are a dependent.

Hoping for a good outcome, albeit being a little nervous. 😆

Does anyone know how to process citizenship for my minor daughter who migrated with me under F2A visa? I heard that once I get my US Citizenship, all I need to do is apply for a US passport for her. Is that true? Any advise?

This might help you..

Hello all!

My biometric appointment is on the 13th and I decided to go to the office today (Elizabeth,NJ). I was THE FIRST one in line. Was sent to talk to a manager who said I must come back on the 13th because they are very busy today. So no luck doing a walk-in there...

If you are planning to do a walk-in (in Elizabeth office) before your scheduled time - do not do it.

Hey I did a successful walk-in at Elizabeth ASC 3 weeks before my original scheduled appointment. I wasn’t asked to see any manager or anything. I think that dude at the entrance who checks in didn’t really pay attention or may have missed my appointment date. And them two ladies that stamps the letter after you’re inside didn’t say anything either. It was incredibly busy but I think I was lucky and it worked to my advantage

Completed Biometrics today at the scheduled time. (My office doesn't allow walk-ins.) Case updated online and the estimated completion dropped from January 2020 to December 2019. Time to sit back and wait again!

Got an interview appointment date (woaaah!) My completion estimate was set to February 2020, today I got a notification that they scheduled me for interview and testing. I’m like whaaaat? My biometrics was done 8/7 which is like less than a week ago. My case was transferred to Fort Smith, AR office from St Paul, MN (moving to another state based on spouse’s military orders). Interview date is not yet available in my documents but guys, this is moving so fast. I think the completion date may just be a rough estimate after all. There is a silver lining!
