Health insurance for fiance / I-864 question

So in preparation for filling out the I-864, I have a question about getting health insurance for my fiance when she arrives in the states.  As I understand it, the I-864 is supposed to show the government that your fiance won't become a "financial burden" on the USA, which means that I would be saying I would be able to support her and she wouldn't be allowed to use any kind of government funding.  I currently have government-subsidized health care through the health care marketplace and thus assumed that my fiance would not be able to take advantage of the same benefit.   However, this page claims otherwise: https://www.healthcare.gov/immigrants/lawfully-present-immigrants/

Does anyone have any clarification on whether my fiance will need to be completely responsible for paying for her own health care when applying for the green card?  If lawful immigrants are entitled to government help for health care, why does the I-864 say otherwise?  Thank you!

That's wrong. She can apply through the health marketplace. The subsidy is not a federal mean-tested benefit

Note according to this link https://www.healthcare.gov/immigrants/immigration-status/ K-1 fiancee is not on there, but applicants for adjustment of status to LPR are, so I assume your fiancee has to file the I-485 before applying to Obamacare.

Also, see this link as well: https://www.nilc.org/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/imm-eligibility-quickguide-2015-09-21.pdf

If you are adjusting status, the fiancé should be a spouse?

All lawful immigrants are eligible to utilize Obamacare, either state or federal. It is not Medicare or Medicaid.

There is no reason why you shouldn't be able to add your spouse to your health insurance plan, or obtain insurance for them either through the exchange or privately. And it will not affect the adjustment process.

I added my husband to my marketplace insurance as soon as we were married. They needed copies of his I-94 and his K1 Visa. We didn't need to have filed the I-485.
