Hi everybody, joining the masses of people going crazy waiting for EAD.

Question: When looking up processing times for EAD on the USCIS website it has options of CA Service Center, Nebraska, NBC, Potomac, Vermont etc.

What is the deciding factor of where your EAD get processed? I was always under the assumption the K1 AOS EAD's get processed at National benefits centre.

But since I reside in California does that mean my EAD will get processed in the California Service Center with my AOS stuff?

Thanks!

PS still waiting on Noa1 for AOS and its been over two weeks already.. this is just getting silly.

All EAD applications that are filed with an AOS from a K-1 visa are processed at the NBC , which is in Lee Summit, Missouri. Your application number probably starts with MSC because it used to be called the Missouri Service Center. Your AOS will be sent to your local office when it's ready to be scheduled for an interview. Good luck with the wait!

I don't believe any of them do.  They are all processed at the NBC, at least for K-1 applicants.

Not sure, but none that I've seen for family-based AOS. Maybe employment-based categories and EADs not based on AOS?
