Tax transcripts v current income to for I-134?

Hi all!  Thanks for all the insight I’ve picked up by reading here. 

 

Quick question — over the past couple years, I was in grad school and then volunteering internationally (where I met my fiancé), so my tax transcripts reflect little income. Since February, I have been back in the US and working full-time with a salary that easily satisfies the income requirements. I have a letter from my employer as well as pay stubs. Anyone see a problem here?

 

(Unfortunately, I think I am the only applicant here from this country so I don’t think anyone will have embassy-specific info. Thanks!)

I don't see a problems.  Remember- Tax transcripts have absolutely nothing to do with current income.  Tax transcripts reflect past income while current employment letters & pay stubs reflect current income-income you are now producing THIS year...Consulate Officers consider the entire financial picture when making decisions regarding public charge considerations.

Thanks for the super quick response!  My concern was just that, since they request tax transcripts, maybe they want to see you’ve been consistently over the cutoff for several years.

They do....It's part of the whole financial picture.....stability....

Thanks.  It would be helpful if you updated your timeline.......Thanks......It will allow for more accuracy in the answers you receive since country, type of visa, etc. matter quite a lot.
