Waiting for interview, can I go on holiday to US?

Apologies if this is the wrong thread.

 

can someone confirm this for me. 

 

We have applied for family visas and are now only waiting for the interview date. 

 

My parents had prebooked a holiday this year for August to NY and Vegas. 

 

My question is, if potentially we managed to get our visas before August can my parents travel to the States for their holiday? Or would there possibly be an issue as they would be making an entry into the States without me and my brother?

You will need to provide better info to get meaningful answers.

 

Are you saying that your family has applied for visitor visas, has not interviewed yet, but has paid for the travel?

 

Or are you saying you've been petitioned for an immigrant visa and you wonder if you will have it by August?

 

Knowing which country/consulate would also be helpful.

Thanks for your reply.

 

Basically, my parents booked a holiday for Aug this year to fly to NY and Vegas for my mums 50th.

 

We had applied for immigrant visas in 2005 and finally they were approved. We had to resubmit some docs 2 weeks ago to the NVC via CEAC. 

 

We are thinking what happens IF we receive our interview date and approval for visa before August. Will my parents still be able to travel to NY for their vacation or will we first need to make an entry as a family into the States together?

What category of visa are you applying for ? 

Do your parents already have valid tourist visas for the US? 

What is your home country ?

We applied under the Brother & Sister category, this has already been approved just waiting for interview date.

We only require an ESTA form to travel to US

Home country is UK

Hi! I also have a valid visitor’s visa. Petition approved Dec 11, went for Christmas holiday in Cali Dec 20 without a problem. Planning a trip this july 6 to watch a baseball game but got CC yesterday and now waiting for interview appointment. Please update if you get an answer. Thank you
