Yes, sometimes the phone replacement is pretty bad. I did went through several flip phones awhile back and it did used to take a long time for me to get one working because living in the out of service area was pretty much the issue. Now I don't have that out of service area issue because I moved.

 

My only reliability is knowing what I'm doing with the phone. Right now I only got the S7 from Straight Talk, and there are downside on how it's been programmed. One of the strong dislike I hate that it have was not being able to use the internet while talking on the phone. The other phone can and doesn't have any problem. Oh well, blew the money for it. I'll just wait it out until I find something I really like and try it out before switching over.

There is a fairly new thing coming out from internet providers like Spectrum/Charter.

I'm cheap as I don't use the phone much, so I'm on the AT&T prepaid. I put in $100 (it's actually $95 as I buy it online at Target and no sales tax). It won't work for folks who like to talk/text/surf often, and it's more an emergency phone for me.

 

Not bad for $95 a year (360 day actually), and unused $ rolls forward when I renew. I will probably change over to a monthly plan in the future, but at this stage of my life there is no need.

Yeah. I've used TracFone before StraightTalk came out.

 

If Umka36;s plan says it last for 360 days, and being able to use some limited feature, I'd probably want to look into it cuz my Fiance say he plan on using it for emergency and just use Whatsapp for the big chat for me lol.

We use Metro PCS. We pay $50 monthly for 2 lines. Ive never had a problem other than slow internet during the last days of the months, I assume because I ran out of my 4G? Which can get annoying but, we're not willing to pay more than that, so that works for us! The phones themselves we bought through BestBuy, since we got their credit card we were able to get a super affordable 2-year payment plan on our unlocked Galaxies. Overall pretty happy with the whole experience!

Only AT&T towers seem to offer us adequate service coverage where we live.

 

We took advantage of the buy one get one free on new iPhone XR’s. We have unlimited everything and hotspot access but it’s not cheap! I think we pay around $190 per month for both. 

 

Extortionate compared to the UK or mainland Spain but it is what it is. 

 

We we are also in CT and I think sales tax is quite high here.

My parent's use TracFone as their emergency cell phone, and they are fine with it.

 

My wife and I have used AT&T for a few years now, and never had issues with connection problems. Again we don't use our phones often, and data usage is turned off on our phone(I use Wi Fi)). I always have issues with the data plan working (might be the phone), so something you may want to check if you do want that feature as it's suppose to work. It's probably better that way as it would gobble up my $ right away.

 

Something to be aware of, it's $0.10/minute phone and $0.20/text. If you do plan to use it more than emergency phone then go with a monthly plan instead. My last carrier was Verizon, but I ended up canceling the service as I barely used the phone. It's quite funny as the rep who cancelled my service looked at their records and didn't argue about continuing service. I think I racked in less than an 30 minutes of talking a month.

I have straight talk and love the service. I bought an IPhone from Walmart and have had no problems...I’ve been with straight talk for about 4 years now

We use Cricket and Lyca.  Cricket (AT&T reseller) has 4 unlimited lines for $100.  Lyca is $29 for unlimited (but throttled speed after 6gb) but they have pretty large free international network.
