It can, and is routinely extended for up to 1 year by the consulate

As far as your interview appointment has been schedule before the expiration date you're good to go... best of luck

You’ll likely need a new letter of intent to marry from the petitioner (to prove that they still plan to marry you as x amount of time has passed since the petition was filed), but I think that’s the only difference 🙃.

Normally not but considering we don't know what consulate,  we can't say for sure

Ah ok - I do at mine, so assumed it was the same at all embassies. Thanks for clarifying! 🙃
