My fiancé is from Morocco and we took pictures that we plan on submitting for our K1 visa process. I have a picture of me in hijab but I have not converted. I only used it to cover some hair loss problems .

would the picture affect us for our process????

Why do you think it would it be an issue?

YMMV

I have to wonder why you would think it would be a problem as well.

Unlikely to be an issue. IF for some reason your fiance is asked about it at the interview, he could simply state what you have said here, that you wanted to protect your head from the sun and cover your hair. It's not too unusual to see tourists in Morocco wearing head scarves of some sort to try to 'blend in' as well. But again, I doubt it will be an issue.

If you are going through the visa process and will be interviewing in Casablanca, Morocco, join us over at the

I do not think this would pose any kind of issue. Visitors to Morocco are seen wearing some type of headdress to protect their head/hair from the stark heat.

Relax....you will be fine :)

I was asking because of religious reasons.

They could possibly think he’s trying to make me convert ,Which is not the case .

Even if he was you have religious freedom

YMMV

Why would USCIS even care about this, if it were the case?

I have worn a hijab while in Pakistan and UAE over a year before converting.  No one has ever commented in the pictures at any stage of our process.

If you’re that worried, just don’t include that picture. Use other pictures of the two of you. Unless that’s the only picture you have, in which case you might have much bigger issues than your choice of headwear.

Timeline in brief:

Married: September 27, 2014

I-130 filed: February 5, 2016

NOA1: February 8, 2016 Nebraska

NOA2: July 21, 2016

POE: December 19, 2016 Las Vegas

N-400 filed: September 30, 2019

Now a US citizen!

Why not? they can ask anything!

Maybe st the state department (interview) level, but definitely not USCIS.   They simple don’t care about things unrelated to eligibility to file the petition, and religion is not a part of that.
