Hello everyone!

Was Anyone here interviewed for F2A in other country? Or you muss be interviewed in home country? When I filed my I130, I chose Frankfurt Consulate, but I am not a German Citizen ( I have a German residence Permit which is still valid next 2021). Someone told me that I have to file again and wait 8 - 12 months to transfer from Frankfurt Consulate to My home country embassy. Is it true?

Thank you for your helping!

You can be interviewed in your country of legal residence or nationality.  You are eligible to interview in Frankfurt.  Stop listening to that someone

YMMV

if you have an approved I-130 you only need to get the papers that NVC would be sending out to the embassy listed on the USCIS papers to the embassy where you are now at

so you can interview in Frankfurt I have heard it can take up to 6 months to get it moved but it could be less.

To reiterate, if you are legally resident in a country you are entitled to interview there.
