US Embassy Keep or Return Documents?

So, I was double checking a few things and it got me thinking...

 

I've got my interview for my K-1 coming up soon. Will the London embassy return supplementary documents for the affidavit of support? W2/IRS Tax Transcript etc etc

 

Fiancee and her mom would be pretty pissed if they didn't get those back! Haha.

I had mine and the only originals that they kept were my passport. 

 

Everything else the woman took copies of at my document check section and handed me them back. I also received the photographs back that we had submitted with the initial I-129f packet. Granted I only submitted print outs of affidavit, W2 and what not but.

AOS Approval Date: 01/04/2020 (Assuming - that's the valid date on my card)

Green Card Received: 01/08/2020

Those tax documents don't have to be originals. But yes they give them back.
