Hello,I really need someone advise right now.

i filled in Feb 2017 for my I751 and Dec 2017 for my N400. I was scheduled for N400/I751 combo interview in March 23. On March 19 I got a descheduled letter.

I went to infopass this morning and found out they scheduled my I751 interview instead. It was sent to my father in law address where we used to live but I changed it a while back when we moved.

When I filed for I751 i included our join tax, car loan, insurance car, lease, picture timeline of our traveling. We both have never married before. We met in Vietnam then move to Korea live there together, then move back to Vietnam, lived there together for a year and something. The we moved here. I don’t know why there is an interview for us.

Advice about what, exactly?

Any immigrant is subject to an interview with USCIS, as well as home visits (not common).

Thanks Cryssiekins. I just called the USCIS number and got transferred to the Tier 2 officer. They have nothing on file saying that I was scheduled for an interview. Strange.

So you got conflicting information?  I’m surprised - that never happens with USCIS 🙄🙄 haha

I wouldn’t worry too much - you submitted adequate evidence, just gotta dig a little deeper for more patience while a broken system sorts itself out.  :)

If you are confident on your marriage, I don't see any issue for going to an interview..  Interview itself is not a big deal, it's like talking with someone about your normal life..

^^ That could be why they may have scheduled an interview for you.

Sometimes the officers update your file when in reality you have already passed that phase in your immigration journey. For example, we have members who have been approved and received their green cards in hand and then get a letter in the mail stating they have been scheduled for an interview....THAT is the level of craziness happening with the visa process when all officers aren't singing the same tune. :jest:

It could really is, since they sent the letter to my old address. I will just go to the interview and be prepared at best. See how will this turn out.

Hello everyone,

I just got back from my interview. I think my experience is good for someone who are filling N400 with their I751 pending.

Quick update: I passed my I751. It was easy. He asked how did we meet? When and where did we get married? When did I move to Korean? When did we move to the US? Why did we move to the US?

We lived in 3 different countries together.

I came prepare with bunch of evidences.

After the I751 interview, I told him that

- can I have my N400 interview? He said he did not see it on file. I told him well it’s there. I filed it and got deschedule. He told me to go and waited outside for 5 mins. He called us back in and said he could not do my N400 interview even if he wanted too. I was descheduled and the system won’t let him to do it. He said I need to wait for 6 weeks. That is how they schedule now, their slot, whatever that meant.

So I asked. Would it be 6 weeks since I got deschedule or 6 weeks since today. He said he does not know and I will get my green card in the mail in 2-3 weeks.

i left the building with my husband and got a call from him. He said “I told you you will get your green card in 2-3 weeks. It won’t happen. We won’t send you a green card since you have your N400 interview coming up pretty soon. The system won’t let me send it to you. You will however still be updated in our system, your status will change as we approved your I751. You need to wait for your interview. If your extension stamp on your passport expired before you get your interview, please come back and we will stamp it to you.”

so so now I will just need to wait for couple more months I guess. Guys!! They don’t have their shits together.
