Hi,

I have few questions regarding Visitor visa. I am applying for my parents and my sister a visitor visa.

My first question is

Can i file one DS 160 form for both of my parents and a separate one for my sister?

Since I am the once filling the application of all three online and if i dont have their picture will I still be able to complete their online applications and then download the hard copies and sent it to them for their pictures and signatures? or

If i can upload their pictures with a blue background will it work on the application?

What is a minimum amount or should i say sufficient amount of balance that i need to show as their sponsor?

If they get the visa and arrive in the US can i immediately start their immigration process or do I have to wait till they go back to their country and then apply?

Thank you in advance...

You can help fill it out, but they're the ones responsible for what's on it so be sure they review it and they should be the ones ones to electronically sign it.

There is no option - at least AFAIK - to upload photos later or provide them later. The photos are provided before you submit the DS-160.

You cannot sponsor a tourist visa. They will be granted a visa or not based on their individual merits, not you.

You can start the immigration process for any eligible relatives at any time. They cannot enter the US with intent to stay - that is fraud. They must return home (in the time granted for their stay at POE) to complete the process.

ETA for a parent: ~12-16 months

ETA for a sibling: ~15-20 years (people who applied 14 years ago are just becoming eligible now, and it always gets slower over time).

The visitor applies for the visa , not you.. you can assist in filling out the form with them..

Each applicant requires their own application form and supporting documentation.

Entering using a visitors visa with the intention of adjusting status once in the US is fraudulent

IF they are granted visitor visas, they should enjoy their visit , return home , and then you can start the petitions for their immigrant visas,

They apply on their own merits, not yours.

They must be 100% honest in all of their answers.

They must all send separate applications and fees, the pictures must be sent at the same time.

They cannot under any circumstances enter the US with a visitor visa with the intention to stay and adjust status. It's illegal and visa fraud.

Correct.

You can be listed on the DS-160 as the individual covering the trip expenses, but that's the extent of what one can do. No specific amount is requested and no documentation of the person paying for the trip is necessary.

There should be a question on the DS-160 asking about preparer. You would complete that section.

You can fill out the ds160 for all of them, but they pay the fee in pakistan and attend the interview. NO sponsorship of a tourist visa. Stop reading desi online forums that give out shady advice.

Do not engage in fraudulent activity like petitioning them for immigrant visa from the US. All US visas must be procured in pakistan.

You can fund their visit - it is not being a “sponsor” in the way uscis uses the term.

How old is your sister - are your parents prepared to leave her behind for anything from 2-7 years after they get their green cards? (Faster for them than you to sponsor her, assuming she remains single, but still a very slow process.)

You can certainly cover their expenses but you can't 'sponsor' them for a visitor's visa. They'll have show strong ties to their home country and be convincing to the consular officer that they'll return to their home country. Assurances from you are not taken into consideration.

https://travel.state.gov/content/travel/en/us-visas/tourism-visit/visitor.html

"Note: Visa applicants must qualify on the basis of the applicant's residence and ties abroad, rather than assurances from U.S. family and friends. A letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support is not needed to apply for a visitor visa. If you choose to bring a letter of invitation or Affidavit of Support to your interview, please remember it is not one of the factors used in determining whether to issue or deny the visa."

The intent to enter the US to adjust status from a visitor's visa is fraudulent.

Hey thanks for replying and she is 32  and unmarried. And as you have mentioned I have read the same thing on different forums that if parents apply for their children that is quicker than if a sibling applies.
