Morning everyone! Something unbelievable just happened, I woke up to my status being “ready to schedule an interview “. This is considering timelines are 14-22 months in Sacramento. I filed in December 2018. Can’t believe it....

I’m just curious what is the timeline from here, is it possible I’ll sit with this status for months, or does it usually change to “interview has been scheduled “ pretty quick? Thanks!!!

Me too! But this is normal. Most cases are "ready to schedule an interview" at about 30-45 days after NOA date. The "ready to be schedule for an interview" status is usually triggered once the background check is complete and the case is forwarded to the local office. The local office will then schedule a date for the interview. Now comes the long wait for them to schedule the interview. You may get it scheduled sooner than 12 months from now, but most will be between 14-22 months, as you've already checked.

thanks, everyone! shouldn't have kept my hopes up hahah. it was a very happy morning, not so much anymore :D

Still a moment to be happy! You're one step closer, and it likely means there were no red flags in your applications or background check.

yeah that definitely helps! :) I just want EAD or GC already, can't even drive for the past 6 months 🙄

I've included a lot of evidence n my AOS package per my lawyer's advice (joint bank accounts, pictures etc) which I think definitely helped. My friend who did the same thing just had her interview and they refused to look at any evidence she brought because "her file has enough evidence already", and the interview was like 10 min long with only a few questions. Hope it goes smooth for all of us as well 🤞
