I think everything has been said already...

But you make it work... you get your ### on that plane go see her spend sometime... We are in a similar position just buying a new family home in the states... but guess what we still got on that plane... we just decided to have a small wedding will be 7 of us... then a month later we are holding a family party at our house... You don't need a big fancy wedding to be in love or to be married... You need time together, a willingness to be together and at the moment you showing a lack in the very things that make it work.

Focus on the priorities not the frilly extra stuff

This.

We spent probably less than $3000 on our wedding. Free venue etc. We're planning on doing a small family celebration when we go to the UK over summer too.

No chance at all. Don't waste their time or your own (or filing fees).

Ok thanks everyone for your insights. I love my fiance and we talk almost everyday and sometimes hours too. My family loves her too. Those I said were plans and have NOT filed on anything yet. That is the reason why I’m asking for your insights and not sarcasm. I’m asking for your help because this is the first time I goin’ to do it. I came here for help because I know a lot of you were all experienced when it comes to this. So pls don’t judge me.  I’m new here on this site too. Probably it’s my fault. I should have asks this question instead, “What is the exact definition and extent of hardship on the USCIS eligibility?”

And of course, I will find a way to get back in the Philippines just to see her.

Thank you.

To be successful, the US Embassy will want to see LOTS of facetime together.  You may have to make multiple visits.  You have to show a bona fide relationship.  One visit to get engaged is often a red flag that leads to a visa denial.

This is not going to be easy.  This is going to be expensive.

OP,  my then boyfriend (now husband) came to see me in Argentina during our relationship 3 times. The last time he did it was after he had lost his job (I helped with half of the ticket). Then when he went back home he found a job and we did the K1.  If you have not seen this person in the last few years, you will need to invest the time to meet again and see if anything changed in your relationship because people change during the years, you know?

Thank you.

Philippines in general is pretty easy to get approved for a K1 or a spousal visa.  You need to visit her and get proof like pics, Entry Stamps on your Passport, etc in the last 2 years.

Many have gone there for 2 or 3 weeks and meet only one time and got approved for a K1.

Everyone is here to help you, we just found it funny you asking about a exemption.

Even in the off-chance that USCIS approves your hardship K1 petition, my biggest concern for your case is the affidavit of support portion of the K1 Visa process.  You'll have to prove to the USCIS in the K1 interview that you can solely support your fiancee financially.  By claiming that you have financial hardship as the basis for not seeing your fiancee in the past two years, you are basically removing any chances of proving to the USCIS that you can support your fiancee financially once she arrives in the US.

Not wanting to buy a plane tickets is not reason for extreme hardship and not being able to make one of the biggest requirements of this petition...

I would have loved to save my money from the plane tickets i've bought.

I agree, me and my fiance agreed it would be best to have a small wedding in the courthouse done  by the judge than to spend large amounts on a big fancy wedding, then a small gathering "pot luck" after with the cake haha.  Beats starting the marriage out in a  debt, and my finance are getting spread thin through this visa process and keeping up visits every other month.  😅
