OP, if you want more advice as to the possible reasons for denial, could you give us more specific information about your case?

Age difference?

Religion difference?

Previous relationships, marriages, divorces for petitioner or beneficiary?

Previous US visa refusals, overstays, deportations?

Did the petitioner have a history with previous, recent K-1 applications?

What evidence did you provide with the I-129F of meeting in person?

How many times did you meet in person before filing the petition, and was evidence of those meetings submitted with the I-129F?  What was that evidence?

What about affidavit of support information?  Financial capacity of the petitioner to provide for both of you?  Co-sponsor information?

Criminal history of petitioner or beneficiary?

These are typical reasons for K-1 denials and if you have any of them, you will need to fix them if possible or you will have trouble even if you get married and file for a CR-1.  We can help you here to know more clearly how to proceed if you answer these questions.

correct.

The OP has had plenty of opportunity to mention issues and has chosen not to do so, not really an area for this thread. I assume the issues are well understood.

Let’s think of this: If you were the one interviewing and deciding to grant or not the visa why would you deny your case?

If you try to be in the employee’s shoes maybe it would help.

Also, how would you characterize your body language when answering the questions?

I think you mentioned you raised your voice too.

However,my opinion is that in your case I think the denial was decided in advance.

This is my opinion of course.

Good luck in the future.

then what can be done if the CR-1 will also not resolve the underlying issue.

let me be hnest here... i think its good you have got straight away refusal... yet you dont know the bullshit adminstrative processing thing.

i have been through same situation  in same visa K1... but lil bit difference... consular officer was nice... kind.. and good  she kept my passport and gave me 221g paper... they kept my passport for 3.5 months and then refused and case sent back to nvc.

i was unable to satisfy her why my parents are not going with me to usa to attend my marriage.

Though you are refused but consular officer technically saved you from putting you in black hole..(administratrive procesing).

if i would have been your lawyer or adviser i wont let u apply K1. especially in your case where you are divorcee with one daughter.

Get marry and apply Spouse visa.

They are not saved from Administrative Processing.... They can refile or marry and file a CR1 and still be put in the black hole.

The US embassy of Pakistan is extremely tough on divorced couples.  Especially when the Pakistani is divorced.  It always gets some type of scrutiny (even if its just submitting extra docs and a few months in AP).  A large majority of them are treated this way.  Calling people liars is something this embassy does frequently and they can tend to be rude and not willing to listen.   Most definitely there was something they saw about your case before you got there that made them decide to return it hence why they were not open to any more discussion.

Whatever that is you need to really think about how to overcome it.  Getting married and filing a spouse visa is not a guarantee it will work in your favor.  I'm sure if you think about how the interview went long and hard you will know what issue they had with your case.  If you really do  not know you can attempt to file a FOIA with the USCIS to request the counselors notes.

I think you hit the nail on the head right there.  I agree that the best thing is for the OP to figure out what that "something" was.....

I would be hard pushed to think of a case where the person did not know, and to be fair the OP has not gone down that route.

You can also get married and apply for a CR1 visa. That will help with the CO's idea that you're not in a real relationship.

The CO being white does not affect on your case. A CO of a different color could say the same thing. Did he mention any specifics, or repeat any questions?

The deportment of the CO's is specified in their job description. They are not supposed to be rude, condescending, and disrespectful, much less yell and call people names. If people would file formal complaints about this embassy, maybe they would follow their own rules. This is yet just another case of people being treated like trash by the CO's. Do you know of any other job where you are allowed to treat people worse than dogs? Other than interrogations in prison....Do people interviewing in the Phillipines, just for an example, get taken into a little room with the door closed, and then be verbally assaulted? You people can make all kinds of excuses for the CO's, but you need to be involved in one of these assaults and you would understand. Do you call people liars in your job? If you did, you would probably get decked. You are assuming this person did something to deserve to be treated like that. That's wrong in every way. Can you imagine trying to tell the truth while someone is screaming "liar" in your face?

He did not even let me talk and he kept interrupting me and he was trying to frighten me by saying that I won't be able to enter the US.

This is the same thing they screamed at my husband, "You'll never see the USA." But he was in a little room with two CO's. This is NOT an interview, it is an assault designed for a convicted criminal. Of course, they screamed plenty more at my spouse.

I've got plenty of posts about it. I'm sure people are tired of hearing me tell about it...lol. However, we DID file a formal complaint, refiled  CR-1 last Aug., and waiting for the papers to be looked at. As for the complaint, they just send you a generic answer, "Sorry, too bad." But we won't ever stop trying to be together. We've already been together 8 years. I will be making my 11th trip this summer.
