My fiance had her interview but did not receive an approval or denial. As far as I'm aware no paperwork was provided to her with any other details, so I'm at a loss what to do now other than wait for a decision... which is what the embassy told her to do.

We only knew each other for a short time before I proposed (1 day), from what my fiance said that is what the issue centers around. Really disappointed right now and was totally not expecting this result :(

Hope you guys will be successful but to be honest, I would need real good convincing as a CO that:

(1) knowing each for a short time isn't toooooo bad but it's number 2 for me (I'm sorry I hope I don't offend you)

(2) proposing (1 day) and spending 1.5 days togethers in person isn't 'the best' before proposing as you don't truly know your 'fiancee'.

But nevertheless, I do wish you both every success ❤️

I understand that may look strange to the CO, I'd have spent more time with her except I met her near the end of my trip to the Philippines. Due to work considerations, I could not stay longer and haven't been able to return, or I would have.

I wish you guys every success!! I just added another outside perspective which I don't imagine I'm that much value as I'm only new to immigration since applying for K1 back in Dec 2017.

Many here will be great support and give good advice should (hopefully not) anything arise :)

Before this 1.5 day meeting in person (including the proposal), how long were you two talking online? We try not to be judgmental and of course hope the best for you but if you were the IO, wouldn't you really review your case?? Make sure your fiancé is a real deal and not only using you?

The story is more complicated. I didn't know her before I came to the Philippines... I went there to meet someone else and it didn't work out, I didn't feel that person was genuinely interested in me, so I broke it off with her.

My fiance and I have talked every day since then. Obviously there is no way to know if someone is using you if their plan is any good... but my fiance hasn't asked for any money.

I really don't feel she is just using me based off our chats... If at any point I felt something was wrong I could have requested to stop the process.

I do get why the IO would be suspicious based on our story and short time of meeting... but not everyone in the US has the luxury or flexibility to take off work and stay in the Philippines for a long period of time... 1 week was a stretch for me which is how long I was there.

That's normal so far. If it goes to non-immigrant, then that's a good sign. Then it'll go back to immigrant before being issued.

It does not turn back to immigrant from non immigrant before being issued for Manila...

Not a newbie but lost my old info years ago) I have been through this process before --all the way through naturalization-- This site has always been a great help to me.

It did for my wife last year. :)

Edit: Just checked it - it went back to non-immigrant when it was issued, too. I took screenshots along the way.

That has definitely changed...👍 The important thing to look for recently is when you are tracking your passport/visa is this:

Send an email to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com with your passport # in the subject area. Initially it will say "There is no status update available for the passport number submitted." This means that your passport is still at the embassy going through the printing process. When you get the reply "The current status of your passport is In Transit From Post" this means that your passport has been released for pickup by 2GO. It is then just a matter of hours or a few days until you receive the magical SMS from 2GO that your passport is ready for pickup or delivery is imminent.

They must have liked touching her passport)))) Rox's status went from Immigrant to Non-Immigrant the day of the interview and never changed all the way through issued....

I completely understand the work part since I myself had a hard time LDR with my now husband .

So.. I'm gonna ask again since your answer didn't really answer my question:

Sorry - thought that part was clear in my post already. We weren't chatting before I came to the Philippines. I was talking to someone else and it didn't work out, I met my fiance while I was there in the Philippines.

I was at the US Embassy in Manila last week, the lady in front of US wasn't approved because she had another person petition her in 2017 I don't think they denied her and ask her to reschedule an interview. But I'm not to sure I was to focus on my case so I wasn't paying attention to her situation but more to the questions they where asking.
