N400 ISSUE

Has anyone ever had his N400 application messed up after interview..?
Hubby attended his N400 interview on the 17th of January, passed the test but a decision could not be made as the IO needed additional documents (Marriage Certificate)to make a decision. Document was given to IO 30 mins after the interview but RFE had been put in the system already. After a week he had a pop message in his Uscis account to upload respond to RFE Documents which he did after some few minutes his status changed to RESPONSE TO RFE WAS RECEIVED....  he has waited for close to 60 days but no feedback so he decided to call the customer service. He had a response from the automated machine that his response to RFE was sent to Vermont local field office whilst he filed in Chicago. He requested to talk to a L2 officer and the officer told him they don’t have his RFE RESPONSE in their system.... the call dropped in the process so he called back to continue the process... a customer service personnel answered again and he told her the same issue but the personnel told him his address on the said application is different from what he was telling her so she can’t give him any information on his case since it’s against their rules...
What do you think it’s going on..?
Have they messed up his file and application ..?
What can he do to have he issue addressed and corrected please ..?

Probably not messed up, more like misplace. Sometimes it happens. Documents are filed into incorrect places. I would suggest trying to make an appointment at the local  office to talk to someone to sort this out.

Okay but Chicago is his field office and they no longer accepts info pass appointments...

Try to call 800 number to set up the infopass appt over the phone. Let USCIS make one for you as individual seems impossible to book it online for some locations..
