It's a new requirement so not yet on there they will explain this to you when you book your medical. It is 100% required and your medical will not be completed without it now unfortunately. It's your medical, you have every legal right to get this from your GP. I didn't bother with calling etc as they can push it to the side. Put it in a letter and they have to give you these records by the law. 😊

Glad I asked - thanks for the quick response!

We’ve booked medical for April 11th. Can we not physically book the interview in the system until our case is “in transit” to the embassy?

My fiancée got an error message when she tried to book the interview and I’m thinking it’s only because our case is still “at NVC”. She completed DS-160 yesterday.

You won’t be able to book until the status changes to Ready. At that point the embassy will have your case

How long is it normally in transit for in the U.K.? Mine was shipped in the last shipment but still says ‘in transit’, is this normal?

I’d go with Friday if it left Tuesday. Keep your timeline up to date. It helps others :)

It actually left last week which is why I’m getting a little concerned, but I’m sure it will change soon. Will do!

Rather than start a new thread I thought I'd ask here as it's sort of relevant.

Is it advisable to book my medical now? We received our case number from the NVC today by phone and our CEAC status is 'at NVC' we're hoping to be on the April 2nd shipment.

I have my police report, medical summary and immunisation record in hand and I will have affidavit of support in two days.

Thing is, I live in Belfast so I know I'm going to have to make two separate trips to London and I'd like to get my medical date nailed down so I can book my first flight. Is it too soon or do you think I'm in an acceptable position to book?

Thanks for any input you can give, I'd really appreciate it.

HI ! Im also from Belfast, booked my medical for April 8th! hoping my case is in the next shipment also :)

PAIN having to go to London twice!
