Will N400 denial trigger loss of residency? (merged)

Last week my husband had his combo interview. He said he was being recommend for approval for both

ROC and N400. He got his new GC in the mail yesterday and his approval notice for ROC. Today his status updated on N400 with a RFE!! Saying we need give more evidence of our relationship for the past 3 years. We brought all evidences in a binder to his interview. The IO didn't take any just looked at them. The myuscis website allows you to submit evidence on their website but only allows you to upload 5 files?! Has any one heard of this happening? If we didn't have sufficient relationship evidence why was his ROC approved at interview?

Doesn't make much sense. You could try using photoshop to put several documents together to make one file then upload it...

If they approved our ROC why submit a RFE for N400 for more relationship evidence? I don't want to submit just 5 files. And I can't work out how to find a program to compile everything into one. I wonder if I can just mail them.

I uploaded at least 20 files when my wife applied for her N-400.  Try uploading your 5 files then go back to a previous page.   Go back to the upload evidence page and you should be

able to upload 5 more files.  Repeat the above and you can keep uploading files.  Good luck!

It says specifically on there we can only upload up to 5 files max and once we hit submit we don't have another opportunity to submit more. It's not like when you initially file N400.

Can you upload PDF files? Google "Merge PDF".

You can convert all the documents to a pdf format and merge them in one file, there's also an option to reduce file size so it's not to heavy.

We've responded with a ton of evidence and now we have been stuck at a Sending response screen for a half hour. How long does this take?

I went to lie down after it was stuck at Sending Response for two hours. I made sure sleep and turn off the screen mode were off. Came back out later and it was back at the sign in screen. I signed back in and it looks like nothing was uploaded... What should I do?

Hi all.

Hubby had combo interview last week. The IO said he was recomending approval for both. He brought a binder of evidences in but the IO just glanced at them and didnt take any. A week later we got ROC approval notice and green card in the mail. The day after we got a RFE for N400 displaying on myUSCIS. We responded to it with everything we have. Whats the timeline to hear something back? Hopefully not a whole year... I feel like we've been cheated. I feel like it was because that IO didnt take his documents that he brought.

Could it be a glitch ? Did he get the form that says recommend for approval ? Also every officer has there work go through quality review, if during that point they feel that something was overlooked that might have been the reason for the request. Also you can schedule a info pass and ask to speak to the officer who interviewed him and ask ?

ROC was recommended for approval and n400 was marked a decision can't be made. But the IO said that he's basically approved for that and only had to check that box because he had to go in the system and approve ROC first. Which we just got approval notice and green card for ROC this week.

Would it be better to withdraw the application at this point and reapply later under 5 year rule.
