There are 3 method: Upload, email and mail.

Email method only apply to the following prefixes
AKD
AMM
BGH

GZO
Mail processing if both Upload and Email method not apply.

It depends on the Embassy/Consulate that will conduct the interview. They will tell you what method in the welcome letter.

funny thing about mex police certs. you'll need one for each state you resided in for anything more than 6 months. not all mex states are the same though. if a particular state does not have one avab, you'll be required to obtain the federal cert. do not just get the federal and expect it to be enough if you lived all over mex. if you can't get it because you're out of status and filing a 601a, nvc can waive the pc requirement, but understand you'll be expected to have them ready during the int. cdj is hella slow to schedule. do yourself a favor and be as prepared as possible otherwise admin proc could tie you up for months.

No you don't have to as long as you didn't spend more than a year in another country after the age of 16. And you don't need US police report.

Maria, from this thread I can’t understand if you are the petitioner or applicant. And since I don’t know the relationship between the petitioner and the applicant, I can’t understand what category immigrant visa yours is.

I became USC a couple of years ago and last year I petitioned for my mom. So I’m the petitioner and my mom is the beneficiary/applicant. My mom’s case just got approved today and she’s waiting for her interview to be scheduled.

In our case, I wasn’t asked to provide any police clearances, only my mom was. I currently live in USA. I lived abroad the first 34 years of my life, then lived the last 9 years in USA (so far) No clearance from anywhere is asked from the petitioner.

Just wanted to let you know.
