IV package

Hi!

So my petition was approved last month and I’m expecting to hear back from NVC by April so in the mean time my husband and I are gathering all the necessary documents needed for CEAC. My question is when sending the packages off, mostly in reference to the IV package- does the photocopies need to be notarized or will a unotorized photocopy work? My husband needs to send some documents over from his country and if it needs to be notarized it will take some time. Trying to plan ahead. Ty!

Most likely you will be submitting via CEAC. Nothing needs to be notarized. Just have him take pictures of everything with his phone and then upload to the site.

It states in the NVC wiki page that the documents needs to be mailed to NVC after all the fees have been paid and all the documents submitted on CEAC.

Check the date of that posting. Are you taking the “wiki page” as gospel? Things have changed. Just wait for instructions from NVC. Good luck.

Ohh okay. I thought that mostly everything is still correct. I did see that you are finished with the NVC process 😅. Ty!

Hubby should receive interview date any day now. You may contact me when you receive case number and are ready to submit documents. I’ll be glad to help. We would have had a date already if I hadn’t made a very small mistake when submitting documents. I corrected it right away but they didn’t look at it fir two weeks.

Honestly that would be so great. I’m trying to not mess up and delay the process. I’m visiting home to spend my 1 year anniversary with my hubby towards the end of summer and if everything goes as planned then I’m hoping that hubby can come back home with me to the states. Can I private message you here in the nearby future? Ty so much again. And hoping for an early interview date for you guys!

Naz, to be ready to upload everything on CEAC website when you get your case and invoice number, you can make your husband get these, take their photos and (if larger than 2MB) convert the photos to pdf:

-police certificate from his country and any country he lived for more than 6 months

-your marriage certificate and if any, marriage and divorce certificates from previous marriages.

-bio page of his passport

-his birth certificate

-passport photo

For the affidavit of support part:

-your proof of domicile in US (electric bill, driver’s license etc)

-I-864 form filled signed by you

-your 2018 tax transcript

-bio page of your passport

Please note that even if you and your husband have some of these ready right now, it will save you time if you’ve already saved them in your computer in digital format.

When I got the case and invoice number, I immediately paid the fees. After 2 days, when the payment went through, I’ve uploaded all of the above in one sitting.

I’m not saying you have to. CEAC let’s you upload different documents on different dates as they become available to you. But they won’t review them until all of them are uploaded.

I hear you are in a hurry, so you can fly back here with your husband. If my advice above saves you only 2 days, maybe those 2 days will make a world of difference to your flight plans.

Wishing you the best.

TY so much! I just actually saw this right now! 😅  Is sending more proof of our marriage necessary? Its honestly only really chat messages, since I didnt go back yet. I was going to front load the CO when he goes to his interview. Also I have a new full time job I recently started (February) so I was thinking of getting an employment letter and just submitting that. But during the interview, I will hand him both my full time and part time job paystubs. Is it okay to not upload an abundance of paystubs on CEAC? Sorry all the questions.
