Thanks. We have a life and family here in Canada, so that at least makes things easier. For anyone reading the thread, we submitted a G-1145 but never received a notification that our file was received. We only received the physical letter in the mail. So, don't stress if you never receive any electronic notifications. It seems to be a pretty hit or miss thing with USCIS.

Have you logged into the USCIS website? You can check if you have email and text notifications on, if not you can turn them on.EA41E75C-FCF3-45E1-A490-E130939B9FF6.thumb.jpeg.5b2aa0dd3c4b39466adbc5914780ac1a.jpeg

Spoiler

03/04/2019: Mailed I-130 Form to Phoenix lockbox.

03/06/2019: USCIS receives application/priority date.

03/08/2019: Credit card charge went pending.

03/12/2019: NOA1 Text – routed to SRC.

03/16/2019: NOA1 Physical Mail (Notice date 3/11/2019).

08/15/2019: NOA2 Email and Text.

08/20/2019: NOA2 Physical Mail.

08/30/2019: Case sent to NVC.

09/10/2019: NVC received case.

10/04/2019: Received email case creation and paid AOS & IV fees.

10/09/2019: Uploaded and submitted all documents required to NVC.

10/17/2019: Received email that there was a change on our case. I checked and all documents were approved.

10/18/2019: Received email that we are Documentarily Qualified.

10/24/2019: Received immigrant visa interview appointment via email.

Yes, I've created an account and have the notifications turned on. The issue is more that you can't create an account until you have your case number, which I didn't receive until I got the physical letter.

So the G-1145 ended up being useless for me since they didn't notify me by email when they received it. But, yes, going forward I'll get notifications now by email.

Is that a mobile app btw? When I'm logged in on desktop my Settings page doesn't look like that.

We received our mailed notice yesterday from Potomac Service Center. Wahoo! That's crazy, considering we filed my husband's ROC three months ago and only received a notice nearly two months later after we called and complained 😜

We were hoping for Potomac too, but luckily Texas is not the longest wait.

I was just talking to someone about the processing times and they said 3-4 years ago it didn't take this long at all. I am stressing over the long wait, especially since my husband will probably not be able to visit me and I won't get any guarantees about visiting him, as they could deny entry. I am trying to figure out how to get enough proof of ties to Finland (currently a student, just moved in with a family member so no lease). I'd rather not fly across the Atlantic just to be turned away 😅Is anyone else planning visits? What are you going to do?

My husband was denied a tourist visa, so I only ever went to visit him. During the process I actually moved back in with my parents so I could use all of my money towards flights to visit him every three months. Plus, constant WhatsApp, phone calls and video chats!

Hi guys! 😊

We're in the process as well.

My husband is a us citizen and he is filing for me. We have been married for 5 years now.

We are currently living in Finland and also filed from here.

05/14/2018 - i-130 sent to USCIS
05/23/2018 - recieved
05/29/2018 - accepted and routed to Nebraska Service Center

Now waiting for it to be approved. (10days late if we look at the estimated processing times on USCIS website..)

Fingers crossed! 🤞🏻

Yep I have been preparing for months, getting everything in order and the application filled out. Double, triple checking everything. We actually were supposed to get married in August but decided to get married on our 2 week vacation to Orlando. But it's better to get your paperwork in order than to rush the application!

You and I got married on the same day and sent the i-130 package in the same week! I love it. Hopefully by our one-year anniversaries we'll be reunited with our husbands? Maybe?

Welcome to the thread--and to the long wait! ;)
