That link doesn't state anything about not needing the I-693 for the K-1.   

 

The links I provided clearly state the I-693 IS required, even if only for transcribed data from the DS-3025

Plain and simple:    Follow the instructions for the I-485 when completing application for Adjustment of Status   ... I-693 is required, medical examine is not necessarily required
