Hi everyone I need some help or advice about work history and I hope anyone can help me. I’m preparing my N400 application online and I have a question about the work history. Do they know if you work or not if you put unemployed in your application? Thanks

The question is, are you really unemployed? Remember, you're under scrutiny every time you sent application to the USCIS, that is the purpose of background check, that includes if you're paying taxes or not.

I pay taxes lol it’s just that my job is kinda different

The only kind of work you wouldn't want to declare would be illegal work. Doesn't look good either way.

Was it illegal doing online job modeling and entertainment?

"Online modeling and entertainment"

Being a cam girl is not illegal.

If you have a job and pay taxes for it, I don't see a reason why you shouldn't declare it.

Lying about being unemployed might get in more troubles.

Yes I’m a cam girl and I’m embarrassed to say it’s my work that’s why I’m worried about the work history because of it. And I only do that for just a few months so it’s not like that’s what I wanted to do and I will apply for a real job

Personally I don't think it's embarrassing. Neither is it illegal, like prostitution for example.

I don't think anyone ever got in troubles because of that? I assume you're not a minor lol.

I googled a bit, and some attorney said to just describe it as "modeling"?

I’m not a minor lol I’m 40 yrs old. I just hope they don’t ask me too many questions about work history. It’s just that it’s not the topic that I’m proud of myself to talk about it
