Hi ma'am/sir: 

I'm planning to travel to my home country (Philippines) to visit my father who is very sick.  I have my Philippine passport and my 2 year conditional green card that will expire on November 2019.  

Are my passport and my card are the only documents I need to show to the immigration when I come back here in USA? Thank you.

Yes your card is valid for travel.  Just complete the trip before it expires.  My wife has traveled back to the Philippines, to Mexico and Canada without any issues.

 

Don't forget to file your ROC as soon as you become eligible.

April 30, 2018  Mary moves from the Philippines to Mexico, Husband has MX Permanent Residency

June 13, 2018 Mary receives Mexican Residency Card

June 15, 2018  I-130 DCF Appointment in Juarez  -  June 18, 2018  Approval E-Mail

August 2, 2018 Case Complete At Consulate

September 25, 2018 Interview in CDJ and Approved!

October 7, 2018 In the USA

October 27, 2018 Green Card received 

October 29, 2018 Applied for Social Security Card - November 5, 2018 Social Security Card received

November 6th, 2018 State ID Card Received, Applied for Global Entry - Feb 8,2019 Approved.

Yes. Your ticket must match your passport. If your GC is on a different name , carry your marraige certificate to demonstrate the link between the two documents and names

Am I still using my maiden name for the ticket instead of my married name since I'm using my Philippine passport with my maiden name on it?  Just want confirmation. Thank u

Maiden name on the ticket. It's what matches your passport. Bring the green card, since you'll need it to get back into the states and bring a copy of your marriage license to show the tie between the green card and passport. 

 

My wife did this in the Philippines too. No issues, they actually told her way to be prepared when she showed the marriage license.

08-27-08 = Phoned consulate (they "couldn't find" our file); visa DHL'd 8/28; in hand 9/1; through POE on 10/9 with NO hassles(!).

Yes  at least one that has been provided to you by the official agency... You never get the actual " original " as that is kept at the record office.. they provide you with a certified copy... or you can buy multiple certified copies...
