Will my B1/2 be cancelled if I apply K-1? When can't I enter USA with B1/2?

have a B-1/2 visa since 2015, applied K-1 in Oct 2018, I would like to travel to USA for family visit in Aug to Oct2019.

can I still travel and enter USA with my B1/2 visa? Until when?

Will my B1/2 visa canceled? when will it not be valid(except general expiration date)?

Thanks!

For the time being you can still use your B2 visa. The B2 visa will be cancelled by the consular officer at the K-1 interview. Once you get your K-1 visa in the passport, you'll no longer be able to use the B2 even if it's unexpired.

For my I-129F, K-1, AOS, EAD, AP and ROC detailed timelines, please refer to my timeline page :)

ROC filed on December 1, 2020, assigned to SRC, approved within 106 days on February 18, 2021.

My sincerest gratitude to all VJers, especially the late geowrian.

so will the "Trump orders federal pay freeze for 2019" affect the K-1 process?

I am from Hong Kong, when should i expect the local office notice for next step?

Once I receive the I-129F NOA2, how long must I finish preparing all the documents(police report, body check etc.)?

Cus we try not to interrupt the trip.
