I-485 AOS for K1 visa random questions

6 posts in this topic

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

I've searched for a few hours now but am seeing so many different answers. Just a few quick questions:

1. Does my fiance (from Ireland, now in the USA) have an A-Number? On the I-797 NOA I see an A-number above his name as the beneficiary. Is this it?

2. Does he have a USCIS online account number? He is not aware of one but maybe we're missing something?

3. Non-immigrant visa number from his passport -- in another thread someone said it's the red number on the K1 visa. Is that right?

4. He leaves questions 3-9 of part 2 all blank? The sample on this site says yes, but other people say otherwise on here.

Getting there! Thank you :)

The A-number also known as USCIS number is 9-digit. It can be found on all his/her NOAs.

2. Does he have a USCIS online account number? He is not aware of one but maybe we're missing something?

Generally no unless you guys applied for an online account.

3. Non-immigrant visa number from his passport -- in another thread someone said it's the red number on the K1 visa. Is that right?

Bottom right in red.

On form I-485? Someone with a K-1 should be filling out Part 2: Items 3 and 4 because he/she is the principal immigrant.

Getting there! Thank you :)

Can you point me to that? Still trying to find out the answer to "He leaves questions 3-9 of part 2 all blank? The sample on this site says yes, but other people say otherwise on here."
