Have a quick question for the group.  We filed online on Sunday and got an email saying "Case Was Received And A Receipt Notice Was Emailed."  It also goes on to say that a receipt noticed was mailed.  As of today, Thursday, we still haven't received anything in the mail.  Has anyone else had this experience?  I know it's early in the game, but many others already have biometric appointments.  Could it be that it depends on the local office that will handle the case determines when the letter will be sent?

I did not get an email but I was able to see the receipt notice in the online filing portal, under Documents and USCIS notices.

@JeanF nice to see another fellow Dallas filer in here. I thought our estimated case completion date would change for the better after completing biometrics. Sadly, it still displays a ridiculous 25 month wait time. Insane.

@GerryC327 We applied online on 3/2 and received the paper NOA1 in the mail on 3/8 (but no e-mail). So I think you're fine. Since you applied online you don't have to wait for the NOA1 or the biometrics notice to arrive in the mail. Just login to your USCIS account and they'll be located in the "Documents" tab. It takes a few days for the documents to appear after your status changes, though.

Here is the most updated chart:

Thanks, JeanF, Just went on the USCIS website and was able to find the receipt notice right where you said it would be located.

I notice i’m the only one so far that applied in paper, for people that may want to know when i received my NOA1 it came with information on how to set up my online account and with an online acces code so i feel like my paper application got “converted” to an online application, that’s just my toughs , we will see if it takes longer than people that filled online originally or not.

Ooh yeah, I'm looking forward to seeing if there are any variances in timing between filing with paper or filing online.

Hello everyone!

I could not decide about filing on paper or online...but I think it will be online, I have been reading your posts and it seems the best option, thank you!

By the way, are you attaching information since we became residents?

Thank you again.

Hello everyone. Just filed my N-400 online.

NOA - 03/12/2019, Field Office - Greer, SC

Good luck to all of us!

Good news. My case status was updated today with: We scheduled your Biometrics appointment. The date is not available yet.  It says it may  take a few days. But I didn’t expect it to be scheduled so fast according to the mentioned estimate time of 2 months, which again confirms  that you can’t rely on this data :)

Received the biometrics has been scheduled notice via email & the case tracker app.  Will post the date once it shows in the documents section of the online website.  The site did update completion time to 11 months, but we're hopeful that it will happen sooner.
