CEAC Nonimmigrant Administrative Processing Limbo!

Hi VJ!

My fiancee's interview was on February 14th, and our CEAC status changed from an Immigrant to Nonimmigrant Administrative Processing (AP), where its been ever since.  The only change since then has been the "Case Updated" date, which happened 1 week after the interview.  My fiancee and I are going CRAZY because we've seen many other people's statuses changed to "Issued" several days after changing to Nonimmigrant AP.  By all accounts on VJ, Nonimmigrant AP is a solid sign that "Issued" will be imminent.  Has anyone heard anything to the contrary?  Is my fiancee and I really in a good position?  The interviewer at the embassy said it would take 1-3 weeks for us to receive the visa/passport.  Yes, it's been 2 weeks, but we're still stressing out tremendously over this.

Generally for Philippines, long as no major circumstances, AP is relatively brief, maybe 3-4 days tops. He has his visa in 8 days from the interview. Perhaps they are running into some issues on their end of things. As long as there was no major issues in backgrounds or anything I wouldn't stress just yet. Now come another week or two, maybe then.

Also note, not to sound scary, and it's solid on VJ here too... AP is open ended, 2-3 days, 2-3 weeks, 2-3 months, or 1+ years even sometimes. While not likely, it can happen because of unforseen circumstances or issues, but for now, I'd just relax and wait another week and if you don't hear anything then maybe start inquiring if possible, but may not get any specific answer from them either.

Who was the CO that interviewed your fiance? Can she describe them?

I was there for the interview on 02-21. We had the same guy. We are still in AP also. There are others interviewed same day as us that have gone to issued in status. Sending you a PM.

They said 1-3 weeks and it has only been 2.....  calm down, no need to worry when it hasn't even been 3 weeks yet.  We all know this process takes a lot of patience.  Wait another couple of weeks and then start to inquire.
