Show me a model that actually accurately models the global climate first.  Most of the ones I have seen or used simply use an assumed forcing factor for the sun's activity, or used SWAGs for temperature measurements due to the paucity of actual measurements.  As to ocean acidification, I am completely fine with reducing CO2 levels, but as stated earlier, the biggest impact may be the population, so tell me what we do about that?

I am sure the appropriate response would be “kill people”, if one but had the cajones to opine.

Nope.  My solution is to not worry about it.  The earth will win in the end.  If it means many of us die to balance the scales, then there is little we can do about it.

Refugee, OTOH, seems to want us to do something to make a difference, yet has offered zero suggestions/counter suggestion to anything that myself or SteelBallz have talked about in this thread.

Curiously enough, if we googled a random sampling of suggestions on what people could do to make a difference, we won't see "don't have so many kids" listed.

Nothing we SHOULD do as humans (the simplest things, actually) will be on the list of things people are willing to do, I am afraid.

This completely unbiased graphic shows the impact (per parent) of having one less child. It like 20 people giving up an automobile. I have 2 kids, but I had planned on having 6, so I can safely say I have done my part to help.

I have two kids, but often feel killing one of them.  Does that count for much?  😇😇

That would be half credit maybe. Let's say about 29 tons of CO2 (roughly). It's not a full offset, but for that, you can probably dump any old paint you have in the nearest reservoir and not worry too much about it. Unless you get caught.

Well, I will strangle said child next time they mess, but only til they are close to collapse.  That will likely reduce SOME CO2 from the atmosphere.  If I do it daily for a while, I am sure it will count for something, and may even serve to let said child know I am not happy with them.  🤐

Interestingly enough, many countries deemed "1st world" tend to have lower birth rates, so it is the "developing countries" that have the biggest impact on a per person basis, and those countries and the people in them are using energy sources that tend to be less expensive and less green.

I believe there was a UN leader that once said we need to eliminate all CO2 emissions.  I am not sure if they realized that would mean getting rid of all animal life on earth.

They have done actual studies on this and it is true. The developing countries are the ones that have a lot of kids compared to the "1st world".
