I always wonder how people say Trump is a Racist and Homophobic.  Its like those infected with TDS cannot think for themselves

I don't get him. He doesn't want transexuals in the army. Always want to cater to the uber Christians and then he just randomly came up with this idea.

   He actually was pretty liberal on this issue historically. He was a bit ambiguous with his responses during the campaign for the presidency, and perhaps he had to be at that time to attract voters. Anyway I like when I can give him kudo's for something. I do for this. Perhaps he is more complicated than people think.

I absolutely support this. But I am just wondering why he's doing this and why now.

   Oh yeah, I agree, I'm not sure on the timing. That's why I suggested maybe he's more complicated than we give him credit for. Not sure that's the right answer either though.

Trump is one of the most liberal social agenda Presidents of my memory.  It really is hard for me to understand so  many accusations of Racism and Homophobia

I am very supportive of LGBT rights and I totally agree the Army is no place for transsexual. There are 100's of things that can keep you out of the Army.

The whole issue with the Transexual thing is that you can serve if you have ALREADY transitioned. But if you have not transitioned yet then no you can not serve.  The key issue behind this is if you are transistioning then that makes you ineligible to be deployed at all. So if you are non-deployable for pretty much anything like medical issues(not pregnancy) then you are no longer wanted in the Military.

And it's not Trump who wanted to keep transitioning transsexuals out of the military.  It is the military. The military is NOT the place to be doing a sex change.

So we were talking about it and we concluded the same thing is that Trump is using this as PR statement to go to the LGBT community and be like "See, I love you guys. I am trying to make it legal to be LGBT around the ". All the while not saying anything about the LGBT issues here in the USA so then it appeases the far right. So he is trying to play both sides here.

I am not getting into the whole discussion about transexual's ability to serve. I am just saying that one moment he seems anti LGBT and the next he's all for it. I'm not buying it.

Oh really? Then why was the military the ones saying they were going to stall for as long as they could? I am not getting into the discussion about transitioning but this is factually wrong.

Maybe to show how utterly absurd those that just hate him are.  I think it is already coming out from the Left and the Leftist media that this is wrong of Trump.  As @Steeleballz stated, Trump is fairly liberal, but that does not matter to his haters.  A great example is the wall, if Obama had asked for 5 billion for a wall, he probably would have gotten it and the media would have praised him over his take on border security.

 

Regardless, this is a good thing that most likely will go nowhere as the religion of tolerance will not allow it in their countries.

That is why it kind of feels more like a PR stunt. He, as far as I've seen, hasn't done anything to improve things for LGTB in the US and now he's going to tackle intolerance abroad... Great if it could happen but doubt it it will.
