How long the visa fee valid? I paid my son IV fee last 2017 category F2A but then NVC sent us an email that my son re category to F2B because he turned 21 in the process. Now, my 2 other kids are in the process of paying fees and my other son’s name is there requiring to pay another $325. Is there an expiration of the visa fees then?

hi

since the process will take years, he will have to redo all the nvc stage again, around 1 to 2 years prior to the priority date being current, you will have to pay the affidavit of support again, and the ds260, and send all the forms and documents again

the waiting time in total is around 7 years for a child over 21 of a LPR, depending on the country of origin it can be more,

when was the petiton filed, 2014 or 2015?  and what country is he from?

hi

if they want the fees now, that means they didn't change his category

they are requesting the fees now because he most likely get the visa if the consul approves it. they wouldn't be requesting fees now it he had to wait over 5 years
