Wow! California bar is meant to be harder than the NY bar. Now you have said that i have concerns.... i will definitely hit you up if thats good with you! Good luck with it, its the hardest out there!!!! 😁

I understand how frightening the process may seem to you, I was in your mind set myself, I'm a natural worrier.. but looking ahead to what AOS entails will do you no favors! You need to focus on the K1 process first. 
 

Also, your ACRO police cert. is only valid for 12 months, so you would have to request another one nearer to your embassy interview, which is a good 6-9 months after you've filed your K1 Fiancé petition.

 

I also second that this K1 fiancé process is do-able without a lawyer, save yourself some money!!! Just do plenty of research before hand & from now on, save all boarding passes of every trip you & your fiancé make to see one another  its solid evidence for the proof of meeting for the petition.

I got the subject access request done because of a traffic incident years ago but it came back no trace so i can relax. I know the AOS process isa long way away and i have effectively done the process once with the K1 i need to calm it 🙄

A traffic incident won't be an issue (unless there's other stuff involved like drugs, a CIMT, etc.).

I'd just note that the certificate for immigration purposes will show offenses that a normal report does not.

I actually rang Acro to question how the SAR works. It would if any criminal activity was attached be on the SAR which in turn would show up on the police certificate. My sar was clear therefore my police certificate will be clear.

I'm not sure why school has to delay you till July to start k-1 process. Though it's not a hard process, it's not a quick process either. It can take up 6+ to get approval from USCIS, and then another month to get case number from NVC. However, at the NVC stage you can delay yourself there if you need more time to finish school. Also, you can also delay yourself after receiving the Visa after interview for 6 months before flying. My two cents. ✌️

The bolded section doesn't apply to a K-1. NVC only receives the approved I-129F, assigns a case number, and sends it off to the embassy/consulate. All this happens automatically.

The I-129F's approval is only valid for 4 months initially, but generally they will extend it for up to a year to interview.
