I need help....I'm so worry....!!!

We recived a RFE  on December 27 and we sent the response on January 17. But, it was lost by UPS.

We sent the package again on January 28 (the response of the RFE and a cover letter explanning what hapenned with the package by UPS).

The problem is, I have sent the response with a photocopy of the original RFE letter. Also, I realized that I don't sing the cover letter.

Can we have problem with this????

Thans so much for your help!

Shouldn't be an issue with a unsigned cover letter.  Those aren't made under oath.

Never send anything to NVC that can't be traced. It is less than $8 for a USPS flat rate envelope with tracking.

I hope so....Yes, we sent it with tracking and even so it was lost
I don't know if we could have problem, because we sent the response with a copy from the original RFE letter?

Thank you

I know that most (if not all) RFE's ask to send a copy of the RFE with the response, since the original should be for your own administration. As long as it didn't say 'send the original RFE back with the response' there's nothing to worry about

You should always send exactly what they ask for. If the RFE really says to send the original RFE back (not a photo copy) then you should've done that. Tbh I don't think it's going to give you a lot of trouble if it's a photo copy, but my RFE specifically asked to send a photo copy of the RFE together with the missing documents (AOS) so I have no experience with this. Maybe someone else can give you a definite answer.

I can't imagine you'll have a problem.  That seems rather odd that they'd insist on the original to be returned.  You'd think that would be more appropriate for you to retain as evidence of your correspondence with USCIS.  Good luck!

Thanks,

I returned it because the letter said:
Important: This notice contains your unique number. The original notice must be submitted with the requested evidence.
I had photocopied and I also scanned it.
The biggest problem I have with UPS, I have sent twice the answer but, I can't understand: if it is addressed to USCIS in Arlington, VA will delivered it in Capitol Heights, MD

My husband called the USCIS and they have said they have not recived anything. ..........................I'm become crazy!

CASE CLOSED

SURPRISE!!!!! Today I received a letter saying that my case is approved.
When I thought that the RFE response had been lost.
The USCIS website doesn't update it and they didn't send me an email notifying me that they had received my letter.

The bad thing is that UPS doesn't give this explanation. All correspondence directed to federal offices located near Washington, are delivered at a scanning center (Capitol Heights) in Landover, MD.

Thank you all for your contributions
