Can I translate birth certificates from US?

My wife's daughter is applying for tourist visa and needs birth certificate to be translated from Spanish to English, can I as Co sponsor translate her birth certificate from here, sign the translation, scan it and send it back to her? I'm worried about  they really need the original signature.

Translated birth certificates are not necessary for US tourist visa applications. Are you talking about a tourist visa for another country?

As far as I know it is not needed but it could depend on the country of origin of the applicant. What country are they from?

Wait a minute....an Affidavit of Support is definitely not required for a tourist visa, neither are W2's. Where did you send these documents? What visa are you in the process of? Because it's clearly not a tourist visa.

How old is the wife”s daughter? I seem to recall we needed to provide birth certificates for minor children for the B visas - though I may be getting that confused with the schengen visa.

She is 19 with a 8 months old baby and her boyfriend, they are applying for a tourist visa to stay with us for about 3 months, I heard affidavit of support is important to prove they are Goin to be supported financially while they stay here

Why? At what point were you personally asked to send all of that for her tourist visa?

Could actually harm their case. So they can’t afford the trip without the help of family living here? Why are they coming for three months if they can’t afford it? Could lead to suspicions of illegal work, etc. Aldo, what strong ties do they have that they can leave for 3 months? Most people don’t have that long off work.

So definitely not a minor....no need for birth certificate.

 

bare facts of this case make me think it will be a denial, hope I’m wrong, but young family with parent in the US that they are reliant on - and stay for 3 months indicates no stable job at home - I think will look like big risk of overstay to a CO.

Where did you read/hear about sponsors/affidavits for a tourist visa?
