Hi guys,

Yesterday our case was expedited due to a possible glitch of the NVC system. We had Case Complete and were just waiting for our interview appointment to be set. But, yesterday morning (US time), we received an email saying they had to cancel our interview, but we never received the actual date. I called NVC straight away and they confirmed that they indeed didn’t have the date but sent that email. A few hours later, we received another email saying our case was expedited and the US Embassy in Rio would contact us to book our interview. I checked the status and it says “in transit”.

The same happened to another brazilian as well.

Have this ever happened before? Should we wait the Embassy to contact us or can we drop an email beforehand?

This was so unexpected and we’re definitely happy with the surprise!
