It was to close, I just really should have apply Canadian visa. Well I had usa visa, Vancouver was so close to Seattle so it was convenient for him to take a bus.

So you have an underage child in school in Canada so you stated in Washington to be near him. Can you now see why in the eyes of an officer would be concerned about your trips here? You have a very important connection here.

Yeah i can see it, I will give it looooong time. It's just I have so many things to see in USA. And I really don't want banned like forever.

Mongolian passport. I have 10 year residence in Spain. And will get my citizen this year.

Maybe I'm missing something here but, why did you apply for a student visa if the whole purpose was to visit your son in Canada...? Not really surprising the student visa was refused.

I really like Washington state, I wanted to study there. And was thinking my son also can visit me.

The ESTA application still asks for all other citizenships. They'll know you're the same person.

How were you able to live in Washington without working?  It is an expensive state.

It is unusual for a person your age (you stated you have a college aged child) to be enrolled in college. Most need to be working.  Your native country which is your current citizenship is also an issue since you live elsewhere.

I think it might also strike them as strange that the OP wanted to go on a student visa to the US when they have a pending citizenship situation going on in another country. Many things about it come across as very odd and desperate to get to the US.

 

The most logical thing to do in this situation is to apply for a Canadian tourist visa. I can see how a CO would find reasons like "I just like Washington state" and "I'm going to visit my son who lives in Canada" as not convincing enough reasons for a B.
